isn’t that basically what Jack Chick tried to say happened in one of his raving, nonsensical comics about the Evils of Dungeons and Dragons
No, no, Sammy, Chick didn’t say the DM kills you.
Chick said the DM & all the other players shun you…
… and while the other players are meeting at the Temple of Diana…
… learning real magic…
… and holding their parents in bondage…
… and while your parents are oblivious to what’s going on with you…
… you’ll be consumed by shame for your character’s failings and commit suicide!
But don’t worry…
… because a Good Christian Man will come along…
… and take you to Geraldo Rivera…
… who will warn you of the E V I L S of rock music, occult books, and
Jack Chick tractstabletop roleplaying games…… and exorcise those Evil Spirits from you…
… and then hold a nice wholesome book burning!

Then it’s time to, either roll up a new character, or unleash one of the ones lurking in your character folder already waiting to go.

De motu animalium, Giovanni Alfonso Borelli, 1680-1681
Pupil of Galileo, Borelli’s lasting fame is his dominating influence in the establishment of the Iatrophysical School of thought, which sought to interpret all physiological phenomena by the laws of mathematics and physics. Borelli set up a laboratory in his home in Pisa in order to make application of mechanical laws to all physical phenomena. He regarded the human body essentially as a machine, its functions explained by the laws of physics. He particularly investigated the action of muscles, and De motu animalium includes extensive calculations on the motor forces of muscles. The illustrations showing human beings and animals in various positions of muscle exertion could only have been conceived by one who was primarily a physicist and not an anatomist.
